General School Information
Growing Minds serves children from 6 weeks through 8th Grade.
- Our Beginners Program includes infants (6 weeks–15 months) and toddlers (16–24 months).
- Our Preschool Program serves children ages 2 to 5.
- Our Academy includes Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
Children must be fully potty trained before entering our 3-year-old preschool class.
Our school year begins on August 10, 2026 and ends on May 25, 2027. The full academic calendar, including holidays and breaks, will be provided to enrolled families.
Yes. We are currently accepting applications for all grades from beginners 6 weeks through 8th grade.
As a new school offering a unique, faith-based, and creative approach to education, we have received an incredible response from families in the Las Vegas community. We are so grateful for this excitement and interest, and we are working diligently to respond to every inquiry and application as quickly as possible.
We encourage families to begin the process early by scheduling a tour and starting their application. Due to limited class sizes, enrollment may close for specific grade levels once capacity is reached. Growing Minds Preschool & Academy is located in Northwest Las Vegas, just minutes from Summerlin, and easily accessible to families in Lone Mountain, Desert Shores, The Lakes, Centennial Hills, and Sun City.

Growing Minds maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio. Our ratio is lower than the state requirement. Our ratio ensures each child receives personal attention, meaningful connection, and support for their individual learning journey.

Faith-Based Education
Growing Minds is a faith-based Christian school that teaches from a Biblical worldview. This means we believe every child is created by God with purpose, potential, and inherent value.
Our approach to education integrates spiritual formation with academic growth. Christian principles guide how we build community, teach character, and shape curriculum. Rather than separating faith from learning, we create an environment where students experience God’s truth through real-world application, creativity, and meaningful relationships.

No. While Growing Minds is deeply rooted in Christian faith and a Biblical worldview, we welcome families of all faith backgrounds.
Our goal is to serve families who value spiritual development, creativity, hands-on learning, and strong character formation. We ask that families be supportive of our mission, values, and culture, but we do not require students or parents to identify as Christian to be part of our community.
Growing Minds is a non-denominational Christian school. We are not affiliated with a specific church or denomination.
Although we share a campus with Shadow Hills Church, we operate independently and maintain our own leadership, curriculum, and programming. We welcome Christian families from a variety of traditions, as well as families from other faith backgrounds who resonate with our mission and approach.

We use the BJU Press curriculum as the academic foundation across all subjects. This curriculum is designed to help students develop strong thinking skills while learning each subject through the lens of Biblical truth.
In addition to strong academics, our classrooms are shaped by a hands-on, project-based learning model that encourages exploration, curiosity, and connection. Students are invited to reflect on God’s character, ask thoughtful questions, and see how faith relates to real life and learning.
Prayer, reflection, and biblical truths are naturally part of the daily rhythm in ways that support both spiritual and academic growth.
Yes. Students attend weekly chapel and experience biblical integration throughout the week.
Bible instruction is part of the curriculum at every grade level, and lessons are tailored to be meaningful and developmentally appropriate. Students may learn about Bible stories, explore character traits, or discuss how biblical principles apply to real-life situations.
In chapel, students and staff come together for a time of worship, prayer, and teaching. These weekly gatherings strengthen our sense of community and reinforce the spiritual values we practice each day.
Curriculum & Learning Approach
Growing Minds uses BJU Press curriculum as the core of our academic program. This curriculum is built from a Biblical worldview and provides a strong foundation in reading, math, science, history, and language arts.
To enhance student engagement and deepen understanding, we combine BJU Press with a Reggio Emilia influence that supports learning through the arts. This gives students opportunities to explore real-world concepts through hands-on discovery, collaboration, and creativity. Our goal is to nurture confident learners who can think critically, express themselves, and connect their learning to life.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our classrooms are places where curiosity, creativity, and exploration are central to learning. This approach recognizes each child as capable and full of potential, encouraging them to take an active role in their education.
We blend Reggio principles with our faith-based foundation and the structure of the BJU Press curriculum, creating a learning environment that balances academic rigor with joyful, student-led discovery. Teachers serve as guides, encouraging inquiry, collaboration, and real-world connections that support both academic growth and spiritual development.
This approach helps us educate the whole child in every area of development: intellectually, emotionally, socially, spiritually, and artistically. Students are not just prepared to succeed in school. They are equipped to thrive with confidence and purpose.
Creative expression is deeply woven into student life at Growing Minds. Rather than being limited to a specific class, the arts are integrated into our project-based learning model, giving students the chance to explore, create, and communicate across all subjects.
Students participate in age-appropriate experiences in music, dance, painting, sculpture, and photography. As our school grows, we are building a team of educators who specialize in different fine and performing arts disciplines, enriching the experience for every student.
Throughout the year, students will present their work in performances, showcases, and classroom presentations, building confidence and finding joy in sharing their gifts with others.

We do not use a one size fits all model. Instead, we focus on nurturing the academic, emotional, social, and spiritual development of every student.
Core subjects at Growing Minds are taught using the BJU Press curriculum, which emphasizes both academic excellence and a Biblical worldview. This curriculum is designed to be age-appropriate, rigorous, and engaging for learners at every level.
Teachers introduce new concepts through direct instruction, group discussion, and hands-on practice. In the early grades, phonics-based reading and manipulatives in math help build strong foundations. As students grow, they apply their skills in cross-curricular projects and real-world challenges.
Subjects like math and reading are not taught in isolation. They are integrated into creative learning experiences that help students understand how their knowledge connects to life, faith, and the world around them.
Admissions & Enrollment
Families can begin the admissions process by visiting our Admissions page. After creating an account, you will complete an online application along with a non-refundable application fee. Once your application is received, our team will reach out to guide you through the next steps, including scheduling a tour or a family meeting.
Growing Minds is currently accepting applications on a rolling basis for the 2026–2027 school year. As a new and in-demand school, we encourage families to apply early, as class sizes are limited and enrollment caps may be implemented once a grade level fills.
There is no formal cut-off date for enrollment, but there are important timelines to consider for tuition, fees, and securing your child’s place in the classroom. We strongly recommend that interested families schedule a tour, meet our team, and begin the admissions process as soon as possible to ensure space availability.
Our school serves a growing number of families in Summerlin, Northwest Las Vegas, and surrounding communities, and we want to make sure each child and family has the time and attention they deserve throughout the enrollment journey.
Growing Minds accepts children beginning at 6 weeks of age for beginners, and 2 years old by August 1 for our preschool program.
For kindergarten enrollment, children must be 5 years old by August 1 of the upcoming school year. For example, a child entering kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year must turn 5 by August 1, 2026.
We do not typically recommend early entrance, as our program is designed to meet children at the appropriate developmental stage for each grade level. However, we recognize that every child is unique. Parents interested in discussing early entrance are welcome to speak with our Preschool Director, who can help determine whether it is the right fit for your child.
No. Growing Minds does not require academic assessments for admission to our Preschool or Academy programs.
Tuition & Financial Information
Tuition at Growing Minds Preschool & Academy varies by program and grade level. For the 2026–2027 school year please visit the Tuition page.
Yes. In addition to tuition, families are responsible for the following:
- Registration Fee (non-refundable)
- Technology & Digital Platform Fee
- New Student Application Fee
- New Student Assessment Fee
- Optional Extended Care, billed monthly for families needing after-care. Before Care is included at all grade levels for the 2026-2027 school year.
These fees are outlined in our Tuition & Fee Schedule and are due at the time of enrollment or as specified in your enrollment agreement.
Yes—Growing Minds partners with approved third-party scholarship programs to help qualifying families offset tuition costs. At this time, Growing Minds does not offer internal financial aid, as we are still in our launch phase. However, we’re committed to increasing accessibility as we grow, and we welcome a conversation if finances are a concern. We believe that when God calls a family to a place, He also makes a way—and we’re honored to walk with you as you explore this next step.
We also encourage families to explore third-party options, such as state-funded scholarships, employer reimbursement programs, or 529 education savings plans.
Yes. Growing Minds partners with FACTS to manage all tuition billing and payment plans. Families may choose from several options, including a one-time payment or monthly installments over the course of 10 months or a year.
- For K–8th grade, tuition is based on a 10-month academic year.
- For Infants (6 weeks+) & Preschool (ages 2–5), tuition is offered on a 12-month basis, with the option to take the summer months off if preferred.
- Summer camp for K–8 students is billed per session and must be paid in full by the tuition deadline.
Payment plans are selected during the enrollment process through your FACTS account, with automatic billing available for convenience.
Please note: Tuition insurance may be required for select payment plans to ensure financial protection in the event of early withdrawal or unforeseen circumstances.
Campus Life & Student Experience

A typical day at Growing Minds includes a balance of:

With small class sizes and a peaceful, engaging campus, students are guided through their day with intentional structure, flexibility, and room to grow into who God created them to be.

Students may bring lunch from home or participate in our optional hot lunch program. Families who choose to order lunch are encouraged to sign up in advance to avoid an emergency lunch fee.

Yes, Academy students (K–8) will be required to wear uniforms.
Uniforms for Preschool students (ages 2–5) will be required to wear uniforms.
