Growing Minds Middle School (6th-8th Grade)

ClassroomActivities-21

Equipped to Lead. Inspired to Grow.

The middle school years are a time of significant transformation—intellectually, socially, and spiritually. At Growing Minds, we don’t just walk students through these years—we walk with them, guiding with purpose, mentorship, and faith.

Our 6th through 8th grade program helps students discover who they are, how they learn, and how to live with conviction, confidence, and curiosity.

“This is the age where students begin to ask big questions—and I love that we get to help them wrestle with truth, think critically, and step into leadership from a place of faith.”

What Sets Middle School at Growing Minds Apart

We offer a unique blend of academic rigor, spiritual development, and real-world application. Through our partnership with BJU Press curriculum, students are equipped with a strong academic foundation rooted in a Biblical worldview.

What makes us different:

  • Project-based, cross-curricular learning that connects content to purpose
  • Faith integration in every subject, not just Bible class
  • Leadership opportunities in chapel, arts, peer mentoring, and community outreach
  • Small class sizes and deep teacher relationships for real accountability and support
  • Collaborative, Reggio-inspired learning environments that value discussion, inquiry, and ownership

How We Prepare Students for High School and Life

By the end of 8th grade, students at Growing Minds will:

✓ Demonstrate mastery in core academic areas: math, reading, writing, science, and history
✓ Lead group projects, presentations, and service initiatives
✓ Apply Biblical principles to decision-making, relationships, and worldview conversations
✓ Transition to high school with strong study skills, spiritual grounding, and a clear sense of purpose

Mentorship, Guidance & Growth

Middle school students need more than content—they need connection. Our teachers serve as mentors who walk alongside students, helping them:

  • Develop emotional maturity and relational wisdom
  • Ask hard questions and wrestle with meaningful answers
  • Grow in resilience, self-discipline, and grace
  • Discover their God-given identity and calling

We foster an environment where curiosity is encouraged, doubts are respected, and truth is pursued together.

A Note About Growth and Partnership

At Growing Minds, we recognize that each child’s journey is uniquely their own. While no school can guarantee specific outcomes, we are committed to walking alongside every student—and every family—with intention, grace, and personalized support.

We believe that when educators and parents partner together, children flourish in ways that are both meaningful and lasting.
